Mmmm....different and an enthusiastic way of choosing the bridegroom....You have conveyed your point very aptly in this conversation.I think it in other way.Being financially independent and shouldering the family responsibility with the spouse gives confidence to a woman at various stages of life. Also it strengthens the family values and affection....

Balaji,
Nice write up.
I guess u are heavily influenced by that neeya naana show which has provoked u to come up with such a topic.

Honestly 95% of women in the current generation want an easy life, they wanna be safe, have good amount of security in terms of money.Ppl like viji as u have portrayed in ur blog can be found in the time our parents got married.Current generation la kandu pidikradhu roumba kashtam :P

Finally when two girls talk they talk in tamil or english but do they mix them up and talk?

Kudos! you got a great style there...

As far as your character viji goes, she is actually short sighted..She thinks having the most basic of luxuries is what ppl aspire...

If she feels so capable of turning corners, she must try to take her hubby to the next level

Balaji, I watched that 'neeya naana' show when I was on holiday in Chennai ...june/july...I was so appalled by the stuff the girls were sayin the guys should own...and then telling the guys off abt dowry.. Seriously, sick.

Good on ya for representing chicks like me in this post.

That was a wonderful character and a nice writing.

Many cheers to all Viji's here around.

It happens that most people stop their desires at a particular level. Cutting corners around them is little difficult.

Cheers - Ranjith
