What to do????
What to do with those managers, who take their subordinates' time for granted and those senior managers, who have a misconception that people staying late are hard workers.
When are these people going to get professional???

Hey Balaji,
One thing that those guys have become managers is coz they have proved that they are better than others... and the senior mangers of course wud have gone thru the same way... btw dont bother abt all these silly things...afterall life comes with all these kind of packages... it is very natural to behave like that, after all they are paid for that... so JUST GO AHEAD AND BE WHAT YOU ARE...dont bother abt wahts happenin around u...

Did you speak up ? Ask the manager why your time is taken for being granted ? Or escalate the matter to his superior, if discussion with the manager did not help ? If none of the above work the best option may be to quit, if the situation is truly intolerable. Other options include moving to a different team etc. Quitting immediatly is often not an option for most of us - I quit my previous after two years, but had decided that I would quit by the sixth month.

people who work late are people who had been hardly working till evening and start their work only in the evening
