Cruel Destiny

The dawn filled me with intolerable distress, as I came to know from the newspaper that my classmate Gowri had lost both her parents in a road accident yesterday. She got engaged only the day before and this incident must have collapsed her world to nothingness.

I am at a loss of words to express the hollow feeling I have.

God give her and her brother Chilla, courage and solace to tide over the loss that has befallen them.
